Places to visit in Ho Chi Minh City

When traveling to Vietnam, I tend to prefer the route that starts in Da Nang and leaves in Ho Chi Minh.
There are a variety of flights, and flights from Ho Chi Minh to Bangkok are really cheap.
If you have room in your schedule, it would be a good idea to combine Vietnam and Thailand :)

Ho Chi Minh is a city filled with delicious food and the world's hip cafes and restaurants.
A trip to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, where you can truly feel the local atmosphere, including old local restaurants and markets - and its unique atmosphere is attractive.

Today, I have briefly summarized places worth visiting in Ho Chi Minh, including the Pink Cathedral.
There are so many tourist attractions that you can visit them all in one day :)

Tan Dinh Cathedral (Pink Cathedral)

289 Hai Bà Trưng, Phường 8, Quận 3, Thanh Phố Hồ Chí Minh, Vietnam

Tan Dinh Cathedral (Pink Cathedral)

There are many cathedrals in Vietnam built during the French colonial period, and Tan Dinh Cathedral is no different.
It is located in District 3 of Ho Chi Minh City, so it is slightly far from the city center where tourist attractions are gathered

Tan Dinh Cathedral (Pink Cathedral)

This place is visited by many tourists because of its bright pink exterior.
It is also called the Pink Cathedral :)
Locals often take wedding photos in front of the Pink Cathedral.

cong caphe vietnam

02 Công xã Paris, Bến Nghé, Quận 1, Thành Phố Hồ Chí Minh 70000 Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh Central Post Office (Saigon Central Post Office)

✔️ Operating hours: 7:30 am - 6:00 pm (8:00 am - 5:00 pm on Sundays)

This post office building was completed in 1891, and its arch-shaped main hall is a beautiful space.
It is a representative tourist attraction among places to visit in Ho Chi Minh City, so it is always crowded with people, but since it is also operated as an actual post office, you can write letters and postcards and mail them.

Ho Chi Minh Central Post Office (Saigon Central Post Office)

It would be a special experience to buy a Vietnamese-style postcard and mail it.
Right next to it is Notre Dame Cathedral, which was still under construction until recently.

cong caphe vietnam, well, it may not be special because it's so common, but I still feel strangely regretful if I don't drink Bean Cafe's coconut coffee!

cong caphe vietnam

The branch right near the Central Post Office is located on the second floor of the building, and I recommend it because it has a nice atmosphere inside and out.
A great place to recharge and take a break :)
Besides coconut coffee, we also like Bac Xiu coffee - it's a Vietnamese white coffee with a sweet taste of ice, so try it if you're curious!

Ben Thanh Market

Ben Thanh, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Ben Thanh Market

It is a market that cannot be left out on the list of places to visit in Ho Chi Minh.
Visiting the market is really fun.
A place with everything you need, including coffee, souvenirs, dried fruits, and miscellaneous goods.

Ben Thanh Market

It is an indoor market and is incredibly spacious, but the aisles are narrow because the stores are crowded together.
It's a crowded place, so always carry your bag in front and be careful with your belongings!

Cafe Apartment

Arabica Ho Chi Minh City, The Cafe Apartments
42 Đ. Nguyễn Huệ, Street, Quận 1, Thành Phố Hồ Chí Minh 700000 Vietnam

Cafe Apartment

There is a main square on the road that extends from Ho Chi Minh City Hall to the riverside.
Everyone gathers at this square whenever there is an event, and there is a cafe apartment building on one side of the square.

Ho Chi Minh City has a unique building structure, so when you go inside, you find a completely different space that you didn't expect, and it suddenly becomes larger.
The apartment building has cafes and shops, and the view of the city center and square from above is beautiful, so it's worth a visit.
Please note that there is a fee to go up the elevator :)

Bui Vien Traveler Street (Bui Vien Walking Street)

Đ. Bùi Viện, Phường Phạm Ngũ Lão, Quận 1, Thành Phố Hồ Chí Minh, Vietnam

Bui Vien Traveler Street (Bui Vien Walking Street)

Last place to visit in Ho Chi Minh. Bui Vien is a tourist street.
This is a livelier place at night than during the day, and it's a great street to have a beer at night, so I recommend stopping by :)
The noodle restaurant called Bun Cha Ha Noi Quan Ngon at the beginning of Bui Vien Street is delicious.

Bui Vien Traveler Street (Bui Vien Walking Street)

It would be nice to have a bowl of noodles and go.
Among the various rice noodles in Vietnam, I personally like bun cha the most, and the combination of fragrant meat and somen soaked in sweet and sour sauce is irresistible.

In addition, there are so many places worth visiting - observation decks, riverside walks, etc. - a trip to Ho Chi Minh :)
There are a variety of things to enjoy, including nearby tours, so we hope you have a meaningful and enjoyable time.
We are waiting for our next trip to Vietnam - we will share news from other places!
